Life Interrupted

I've found over the years, that when I talk to people about what's going on in my story, I'm more likely to continue writing day after day, and, on occasion, finish.

My current story is about people who survived a type of apocalypse. (This seems to be a reoccuring theme ...) This one is somewhat different than what I've been doing, though.

First of all, the people just disappear. There's no plauge, no war, no nothing. They just vanish. So, it's kind of a mystery. The people who were left behind (or stayed, as they prefer to say.)

The main characters:

Hanei: A 19 year old who doesn't like to let anybody else drive. She drove the entire 20 hour trip down to Lakey to rescue her niece Kiara, who also stayed.

Jack: A 20-something man who loves to flirt with anybody. He life mate's Hanei.

Maia: Hanei's best friend, and mother of two children; five year old Todd and baby Sissy.

Dr. Richard: Maia's husband, and the kid's father. He is also Hanei's doctor. However, he is somewhat absent in the story, even though he stayed behind.
